Why the us government has limited power

    The U. S. government has limited power because when the colonies broke off and declared independence from Britain they felt the need to create a different form of a government from that of Britain's due to the fact that if they were to create the same form of government as Britain the same tyranny would occur after they just fought a very long war to get away from this said tyranny. Therefore the founders decided to limit the power of the government and make sure that the people had a larger say in the new government. (Not saying that it worked but yeah : D)
