First question, so lets try this. Which is NOT a result of the migration of blacks from the rural South to the Urban centers in the north? A. Jim Crow laws were enacted in northern states. B. Jazz became a popular genre of music. C. Marcus Garvey became an influential black leader. D. The Harlem Renaissance flourished in New York City.

    C. Marcus Garvey did not become an influential black leader because of the migration. He was a leader in Pro-Africanism and Black Nationality, which were around long before blacks were forced to move to northern cities. THe Harlem Renaissance only happened because blacks were forced to move to NYC, bringing their culture with them. Jazz was very popular among blacks, making it popular when they went to more populated areas (urban northern cities.) Jim Crow laws were against segregation and were in both the north and south. I just did this is US. It's C.
