What is the motivation for Omar Bashir and the genocide in Darfur?

    The motivation was to stop political opponents. The attacks were based on where it was believed that insurgents and dissidents were and mass killings were conducted in order to remove political opponents and those who were part of the rebellion, or supported the rebellion. Omar Bashir was the leader of the group that committed it.
