The correct answer is letter D

The Vikings were people who inhabited northern Europe, in the region called Scandinavia, during a period spanning from the 8th to the 11th century. They became known as fearsome warriors because of the looting they performed in different regions of Europe. Notable navigators, these Nordic peoples arrived in America in the year 1000.

At first, the Vikings inhabited the locations where the nations of Denmark, Sweden and Norway are now located and which, because of navigation, expanded their influence to other regions. In addition to the looting they carried out along the coastlines of the regions where they sailed, the Vikings also dedicated themselves to agriculture, cattle breeding and trade. Withdrawal was just one of the ways they used to obtain their sources of income.

Originally pagans, the Vikings had their own cosmogony and worldview that, little by little, were abandoned with adherence to Christianity, with which they came into contact when making their incursions to Brittany (present-day United Kingdom) and Francia (present-day France). With the development of their navigation methods, they reached regions far from where they originally lived, such as Brittany, Ireland and North America, and there are indications of Viking navigation also in the Mediterranean Sea.
