    b. end segregation in all public education.

Brown v. Board of Education declared it unconstitutional to have segregated public schools leading to the desegregation of all schools following the 1954 decision.

The Brown v. Board decision reversed the earlier decision of Plessy v. Ferguson which stated in 1896 that separate is not necessarily unequal. The Brown v. Board of Education decision stated that separation of children into segregated schools made children feel inferior and create inequality in self-esteem. The decision was delivered by the Warren Court and marked the end of segregation schools in the US as a law and/or policy.
