One of the affects of Pearl Harbor was the United States joining World War II. After Pearl Harbor, the United States were quick to join World War II, although numerous things had happened between Japan and the United States in the past, this was the final straw and made the U. S. finally join in.

This caused many young men to enlist in the army to fight for their country with a sense of Patriotism and wanting revenge for what happened at Pearl Harbor. During this time, many of the young men were working in factories before the United States joined World War II, so more jobs were available in factories.

The employment in factories went up by a lot. Women and African Americans were now working in industry jobs, which was not common beforehand. Many war supplies were needed, weapons, ammunition, clothes, medical supplies, and other important items were essential for the United States during the war. The amount of people in factories boomed and many people were working during this time.
