Martin Luther King Jr. showed all other groups a way to fight for their rights.

Many others followed in King's footsteps who successfully led people to the passing of the Civil Rights Act and a better future for the African-Americans. Many other groups that wanted to fight for their rights like women, used the tactics and the actions King undertook himself, like marches, sit ins, peaceful protest in general.
