Peter Neilson is a New Zealand businessman and politician, and a former Labour Party Member of Parliament in the New Zealand House of Representatives

Peter Neilson born in July 1954, is a New Zealand businessman and politician, and a former Labour Party Member of Parliament in the New Zealand House of Representatives.
He was a three time member of Parliament in New Zealand, between, 1981 to 1990, represented the Wellington electorate of Miramar in Parliament. He was later defeated by Graeme Reeves
He was chief executive of the New Zealand Financial Services Council between 2011 - 2016.
He is also a board member for the National Foundation for Deaf & Hard of Hearing
