How was Japan easily able to defeat china in the sino japanease war?

The Sino-Japanese war took place 120 years ago and has reasonably embarked a success for Japan. It has been a question for debates for many years how did japan manage to defeat China in the war. The prime reason for their defeat is none other than the Qing dynasty.

The Qing dynasty was corrupt beyond repair and continued to exploit the people of China. The Dynasty never gave much thought of preventing a foreign invasion but to encourage it. This corrupt kingdom became the ultimate reason for China's defeat.
