The United State was involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion in that the Central Intelligence Agency, an arm of the Executive branch, was funding and training the Cuban rebels and sent them into Cuba at the Bay of Pigs to overthrow the communist government led by Fidel Castro.

Castro's army found out about the invasion and met the rebels at the beach, capturing or killing many.
