How do you think people of other cultures and nations viewed the idea of manifest destiny?

    I think that most countries of the time support the idea of manifest destiny. This is because colonization is very popular at the time. However, when America began to believe in manifest destiny, European powers are afraid that America will overpower them. Especially with the wealth and resources in the West. If this idea of manifest destiny appeals to other nations, they will totally support it. This idea is both positive and negative when it comes to modern ideology. Some will support it because it brings wealth and power (imperialism). While others will say that because of manifest destiny, the Native Americans were suffering from diseases, and were forced to move.
