How did the Balfour Declaration contribute to tension between Jews and Arabs?

This was a major contribution to tension and thread to peace between jews and arabs. The reson was that this declaration gave international recognition to the Zionist movement and promised them a Jewish state in the land of Palestine. It allowed unlimited Jewish emigration and that led to dispossession and exile of the Palestinian people from their own land
