    Answer: the FEC exist to to administer such reform efforts as limiting campaign contributions, facilitating disclosure of campaign contributions and overseeing public funding of presidential elections.

    The FEC (Federal Election Commission) was created to enforce campaign finance law in the United States. Basically, they make sure that candidates stay within their contribution limits and don't accept any prohibited/illegal contributions. They also oversee public funding for campaigners.
