    Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi was a mathematician who wrote an algebra textbook that was used as the standard for centuries, presented the very first systematic solution of the linear and quadratic equations in Arabic, and wrote about astronomy and astrology. He was even known as one of the fathers of algebra.
