We can reflect on history and personal experiences through work of art by capturing the essence of what you want to express in the situation. For example, you can make a poem about residential schools (schools where First Nations lost a lot of their heritage and cultures) to show the struggles the children had to face. Art can be many different things from producing music to making sculptures. Also, for expressing and reflecting on personal experiences through art as a medium can be from painting to express your trama to producing a dance about a loved ones passing. We can use many different things to reflect on your own experiences and with other's experiences. Many people who have dealt with tragedies have used art as a way to express themselves and let other people reflect on the situation. With another example, for the black lives matter movement many people have been painting and drawing art to show their discomfort with how they are treated. Therefore, many people experience things differently but art can make things easier to express themselves. Many of us have listened to music on the radio and heard breakup songs and could understand the person's emotions even if they didn't experience that certain situation.
