I am not too sure if these are 4 options or twice two options? So I will just comment on each of these options.

    A. a new theory of the universe related to the motion of Earth and other planets.

    - this is correct! the new aspect of the theory lied in the fact that Earth and other planets revolved around the Sun.

-this is not true! they were themselves studying the Sun, moon and stars

supported a theory of the universe that contradicted the teachings of the Catholic Church.

    - this is true! At the time the Church insisted the Earth is in the center of the Universe, and they disputed it

supported the geocentric theory in opposition to the beliefs of most Christians at the time.
