Explanation: The Mongol Empire existed during the 13th and 14th centuries, and was the largest contiguous land empire in history, and the second largest empire in history, only behind the British Empire. The Empire emerged from the unification of several nomadic tribes in the Mongol homeland under the leadership of Genghis Khan, whom a council proclaimed as the ruler of all Mongols in 1206.
The Mongols had captured so much territory and there was religious as well as cultural freedom as long as the basic Mongolian rules of law were followed. Eventually, each of the successor states adopted the dominant ways and customs of the local populations. For example, many Mongols accepted Islam and adopted Arab, Persian, and Turkish cultures
