    Old Stone Age people travel across open oceans in rafts or canoes f rom Southeast Asia to Australia.

    This was about at least 40,000 years ago. Old stone age period is also known as Paleolithic. Old age is also divided into three periods from start to end.

    The word Palaeolithic is derived from the Greek words : palaios which means old means composed of stones.
