Why did the Eisenhower administration accept South Vietnamese Prime Minister Diem's refusal to hold the free elections mandated by the 1954 Geneva accords?

    The correct answer is because Eisenhower was worried that a communist goverment would win.

    Explanation:

    Eventhought the United States had the intentions on respecting the Geneva accords, they were worried that the peprson who would win would be a communist that is why they decided to spport Diems wins.
