Who was Nebuchadnezzar and what was he famous for building?

Nebuchadnezzar was a great Babylonian king of the late 7th century century and early 6th century. He was king when the Israelites lost their land and when they went into exile. He is famous for building the hanging gardens of Babylonia which is one of the seven ancient wonders.
