In 1843, the opposition posture from Great Britain to the annexation of Texas was heard. Although not exactly a country, this kingdom was the european influence that wished to prevent the westward expansion of the United States and commercial advantages for Texas trade, as well as to jeopardize the american tariff system and the institution of slavery.
