    Explanation:

    This is most of the European nations wanted more resources and set out to imperialize more countries so that they would have a larger colonial empire which would provide them with more raw resources which led to more trade and better economy. This because a problem because lots of European nations built up huge armies and navy in case conflict happened. There was a strong surge of nationalism in the Balkans where lots of Slavic groups lived. The Slavs were oppressed and wanted to be independent states so nationalism rose so it was a cause of World War I.
