What impact did Khrushchev and Gorbachev make on relations with the US?

    Nikita Khrushchev impacted the relations with the U. S through the establishment of a policy of peaceful co-existence. This led to the signing of the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty. He visited the U. S in 1959 with an intention to build the U. S-Soviet relationship. He was the first Soviet leader to visit the U. S.

    Mikhail Gorbachev on the other impacted the relations with U. S through his modernisation of the Soviet Union which they all cooperated with and it finally led to the end of the cold war.
