    Civil liberties are freedoms guaranteed by the US Constitution to protect Americans from tyranny. The 5 civil liberties are: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and freedom to petition the government. Civil rights are legal rights that protect people from discrimination, peoples'rights to vote, to a fair trial, to government services, to public education, to privacy, to use public facilities and others.
