In order to establish a vast trading in North America, these settlers started to adopt various trades' like - shipbuilding, whaling, fishing, textiles and many more, of which Shipbuilding was their top priority.

    The American natural resources, the perfect location and abundance of capital initiated the shipbuilding industry. To enhance their shipbuilding industry they started the fishing trade.
