What is the significance of the industrial revolution? why was new england an ideal place for industrialization to thrive (do well) ?

    The Industrial Revolution is significant because it was a change from an agrarian society to a manufacturing society. Huge numbers of people left farming jobs to move to cities to work in factories. New England was an ideal place for industrialization because of the numbers of rivers in the region, as the factories were powered by hydropower.
