What did Southern slave owners think of the Supreme Court Decision?

Many Southern slave owners were enraged by the ruling, they did not know how they would get the labor that was necessary to farm cotton and other materials. This lead to many riots and deaths of black Americans. Although many people would say that slavery was horrible the answer was not always clear for slave owners.
