The total deaths because of the bombings are estimated, but the real numbers are still not clear, that between 90,000 and 146,000 people died in Hiroshima, and between 39,000 and 80,000 people died in Nagasaki. More than half of the deaths were on the same days as the bombings, while the others were in a time span of two to four months afterwards.
