    Actually Renaissance as a term coined in late 19th c. by political reasons it wasn't historical era it is movement in art that focused on return to the classical ancient era canon in art and took place in late Middle Ages, that is the shortest most accurate and proper description according to historians without twisting the facts by overuse of that name term 'renaissance' is in use also on different periods in Medieval history so called Carolinian rebirth during Charlemagne and 'renaissance of 12th century' it is a term coined by historians when term "Renaissance' was overused by many
