    D should be the answer for the sole fact that applications are for obtaining some ones info and does not require verbal communication personality or appearance

    D, because the you can't see a personality from a paper which is choice A, and you can't speak to them if it's paper which is choice B, and you can't see the appearance of someone from a piece of paper. So the answer has to be D
