    The answer is C. They believed colonists should be able to express their own opinions about how they were taxed. Hence the slogan "No Taxation without representation." Plus they revolted against taxes in many ways such as the Boston tea party which was a revolt where Englishmen dressesdas Indians and poured tea from ships in Bostons harbor because of the tax on tea
