When did civilian rule return to the former confederate states, replacing the reconstruction governments?

    The Reconstruction Period which immediately fallowed American Civil War aimed at rebuilding infrastructure and restoring the membership of southern states (former confederate states) in the Union. The Reconstruction officially ended in 1877 when president Rutherford B. Hayes withdrew federal troops from the south. So in this way civilian rule returned to the former confederate states in 1877.
