The President of the Senate is the Vice-President of the United States who is the official leader of the Senate as stated by the Constitution. However, the day to day leaders of Senate meetings and runnings are the majority leader and the majority whip who set the agenda and lead the Senate proceedings. These are the traditional leaders of Senate meetings as a whole. There are also committee meetings that take place and are led by the Committee chairpersons or an individual who has been delegated to lead the meeting.
