    the scramble for Africa was accomplished quickly because the Berlin conference established the rules of the partition process. the berlin coference was convened by German Chancellor Oto Van Bismark.

    The process of scramble and partition of africa begun with the arrival of explorers and missionaries into the continent. These groups needed security, and colonialisation was a perfect way of ensuring this security.

    It would have generated into a conflict, which was resolved by the berlin conference of 1879, which divided the continent into spheres on intrests.

    once the sphere of intrest was agreed upon, the imperialist used various strategies such as assimilation, indirect and direct rule, often resulting to rebellions that were violently crashed.
