The Battle of Camden was an example of why using inexperienced soldiers is not always a good idea. What happened

in this battle that justifies this statement?

    During the battle of Camden, militia that was led by Horatio Gates was heavily defeated by British troops, because when the battle started large part of militia started fleeing from the field. They were not able to hold their lines when the British soldier attacked.

    Explanation:

    Although fought in 1780, when Revolutionary War was at its peak the Gates army was heavily defeated. Even Gates himself fled from the battlefield. Because of this he was removed from his position.
