Do you think the war had a long-term impact on gender roles in American society

    It depends which war. For example, during World War II, many men went off to fight in either Europe or the Pacific. As a result, many key industries were left without workers. This led to women taking over many of the jobs men left behind. For example, many women began to transition from working at home, to working in the factories to keep the economy and troops supported.
