A government is a ruling body of a country. Depending on the type it can either be a democratic one, meaning that the people choose who the members of a government will be, or it can be a totalitarian, meaning that one person or a body of people has all the power and they aren't chosen by the people. Some governments are even based around religion and priests have high ranks in the government.
