Why were the policies of aurangzeb so destructive to the mughal empire?

    His policies were destructive because they made him lose all support of the people. Too much money was put into the army and other parts of the country couldn't develop properly. They also incited religious intolerance which led people to support other people instead of the ruler. There were also numerous rebellions that weren't solved correctly so it also incited the public rage.
