    Assembly is NOT one of the branches of the government of the United States.

    There are only three branches of the Federal Government:

    Executive - They are responsible for enforcing laws on the land / President and agencies.

    Legislative - Controls taxing, creates laws, declares war / House and Senate.

    Judicial - Controls education and research agency / Supreme Court and Federal Judicial.
