Ok so I'm pretty sure the enlightenments happened later on, so it isn't B. I don't think the scientific revolution was a thing, unless you mean industrial revolution, but that also happened later. I'm pretty sure the reformation was the time period after the civil war, so that's not the answer either. This leaves C, which makes sense because the reason the British taxed the Colonists so much is because they were broke from all the fighting they did.
