It is well understood that the North, is well developed with industries, navy and railroads than the South during the Civil War.

The disadvantages of the North in the Civil war was that they were fighting for uniting the nation, while the South was defending their homeland, the South had a strong reason then the North. The North had to conquer the large area of the South, which was unknown to them. Also, the North lacked good soldiers and Commanding officers to fight in the war.
