    The correct answer is China

    China has for a long time been a strategic ally to North Korea because they share a border. It was dangerous for the Communist Chinese regime to allow the southerners and the United Nations to win because it would basically mean that the United nations can have troops at the borders with China which would be dangerous for both sides.
