How did geography contribute to the growth of political conservatism in the 1970s? the midwest, strongly conservative, was declining in population and manufactures. the sun belt region, strongly conservative, was growing in population and investment. the northeast, strongly liberal, was hurt most by the phenomenon of stagflation. the far west, strongly liberal, was experiencing rapid housing and industrial growth.

    For the answer to the question above, I believe the answer is The Sun Belt region, strongly conservative, was growing in population and investment.

    Especially in the region of Nevada where there are more casino's and hotels and California
