Why was samual slater considered a criminal by british textiles manufacturers

    Samuel Slater was an early American industrialist known as the "Father of the American Industrial Revolution" or the "Father of the American Factory System" because he brought British textile technology to America. The British thought he was a traitor because he brought the technology out of England and to the New World.!
