What conclusion did deists draw from the rational, mechanistic workings of the universe?

a Deists concluded that reason could explain physical laws but only the Bible could explain religious beliefs.

b Deists concluded that religion had no place for the learned who wanted to understand the universe.

c Deists concluded that the rational universe could be explained through science, so there was no proof that God exists.

d Deists concluded that God created a rational universe, so God must be rational as well.

    Deists believed that God did create the Universe, but that afterwards he left it to its own devices and did not interfere in any way in human or other affairs anymore. The 'rational' workings of the Universe were seen as the proof that no further Divine interference was needed.

    I personally think that the answer is D. Deists concluded that God created a rational universe, so God must be rational as well.
