    Two ways; creating an effective all encompassing UN which all members were free to join, with key powers playing a great role, decraling a need for self determination of all people, dividing Germany and not imposing fines on it.

    the players avoided the mistake of treaty of versailles that thoroughly punished Germany resulting to widespread bitterness and poverty in the country, which created conditions for the rise of Nazism, ensuring that colonies were not mandated but were allowed to achieve independence, and ensuring that The UN was strong and funded unlike the league of nation which was termed a toothless dog.
