Compared to the Great Depression, we DO NOT face the same 'other economics hardships'

    Explanation:

The Great Recession took place during the early part of the 20th Century. It began from Wall Street crash, spreading across the United States and than the world.

At the time, an average American was very poor, hardly had any savings and lived a difficult life. Putting food on the table was a privilege for many, while they had very little access to good health care or education

Compared to that time, things have changed considerably and people do not face the same economic hardships.

At the time, segregation was legal and African Americans could not even vote. Today, there is far more equality. Technology has made food cheaper and healthcare is way ahead of what it used to be.
