What is the difference between the 'The Fatherland' and the 'Republic'?

    Nazi used the term 'Fatherland' as a region where the ancestor of their fathers came from. They often used as a propagandic term to ignite the feeling of nationalism between Aryan citizens and ignite hatred toward the Jewish population which they portrayed as the invaders of their fatherland.

    When he said republic, he's referring to the new German government that was re-structure after Germany lost the world war I.
