Explain president hoover's philosophy of rugged individualism.

    When the great depression began, Hoover was in charge of solving the problem since he was the president at the time. He supported the policies of rugged individualism which he mentioned numerous times and believed that people should solve it on their own with their participation in the market and that the government should not interfere with the market.
