Which of these events happened first in English history? King John signed the Magna Carta. Parliament divided into two houses. William the Conqueror became king of England. Henry II ruled over all of England.

    William the Conqueror he was delegated as ruler of England. he was Duke of Normandy from 1035 forward. After a long battle to set up his energy, by 1060 his hang on Normandy was secure, and he propelled the Norman triumph of England six years after the fact.

    The first thing that happened is William the Conqueror became King of England. He was the first Norman King of England. He became the King in 1066, shortly after he defeted and killed Harold at the Battle of Hastings on 14 October 1066. and ruled/reigned until his death in 1087.
